Take My Hands
03:48
|
|||
Three in the morning
Without any warning
A stranger walked down the avenue
Stepped out of the night
Into a circle of light
Looked like someone I once knew
Without a trace
Of expression of His face
He held out His hand to me
All of my pride
Suddenly died
I was at the crossroads of destiny
Take my hands
Take feet
Take my voice too
Take all You have given me
Let me glorify You
I tried to speak
But was too weak
I tried to walk but couldn't move
I was guilty of treason
Imprisoned by reason
Only believing what I could prove
I was dancing on a precipice
Clinging to an hourglass
With just a few grains of sand
Still blinded by doubt
I slowly reached out
And took the Creator's hand
Take my hands
Take feet
Take my voice too
Take all You have given me
Let me glorify You
I knew I was doomed
When I stepped out of the womb
And there was no way of getting back
I made my connection
But was given wrong direction
When I was told there was nothing that I lack
I got music in my hands
Got a head full of plans
But I'm not the one at the reins
The world won't sympathize
The church won't patronize
It's just me and You and these pains
Take my hands
Take feet
Take my voice too
Take all You have given me
Let me glorify You ...

Fourth Watch
04:53
|
|||
The fourth watch of the night
I saw You standing there
The loneliness of death in the moment of my despair
The blackness of the void
The darkness of the night
My hands shaking beyond control
My heart beating with fright
It was there I collapsed
No strength of my own
Never so broken, never so alone
Never so helpless, never so grieved
I fell into You arms, it was there I believed.
But to know the truth is the greatest of all gifts
In a world where everyone is at war, or just happy to drift
Their faces turned from God, and every step moves further away
Getting deeper into debt, with no currency of their own to pay
I’m no better than the worst of you but I know what’s in my heart
I’ve seen sin drive a man insane, I’ve seen it tear a family apart
I see the price that must be paid, and the only way to be free
Saw Him dying on the cross, it was there I believed.
O, Yonge Street, can’t you hear me now?
Don’t look back, you’ve got your hand to the plough
Whatever we sow, that is what we’ll reap
In hell there’ll be wailing, there’ll be gnashing of teeth
And there is no way to escape our inherited destiny
Unill we put our faith in the finished work of Calvary
Till we behold the Lamb, our burden will not leave
Till we put our name up there, and say, “I believe.”
The silence of the moment, the solitude of prayer
I can faintly hear Your whisper, Lord
I know Your presence is here
Lord, I am listening to whatever You have to say
You’ve given me a cloak of righteousness
Now don’t let my garment fray
Don’t let me harden, keep me cherishing
With tears that flow from my eyes for the lost and the perishing
The servants of sin are ingeniously deceived
Stepping out into eternity never having believed …

Barabbas
04:59
|
|||
Don't expect justice from this world
True love is hard to find
The guilty walk the streets
The blind lead the blind
There's none righteous, no, not one
There's none that seeketh after light
All have sinned and fallen short
Look in your heart, you'll know that's right
Not by works of righteousness
Not by good works we have done
But by grace we are saved
Through the blood of God's Son
I feel like Barabbas in the cave
Waiting without hope or friend
Guilty of robbery and murder
Already condemned
Then a voice comes calling down
And blinding sunlight hits my face
Come out, you are free
A man named Jesus has taken your place
Not by works of righteousness
Not by good works we have done
But by grace we are saved
Through the blood of God's Son
Don't expect nothing from this world
True love is hard to find
The guilty roam the city streets
The blind lead the blind
There's none righteous, no, not one
There's none that seeketh after light
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God
Look in your heart, you'll know that's right.

Isaiah 53
04:56
|
|||
We all like sheep have gone astray
We have turned every one to his own way
And the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all
From the last one saved back to Adam's fall
Surely He hath borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows
Yet we did esteem Him stricken
Smitten of God and afflicted
But He was wounded for our transgressions
He was pierced for our iniquities
The chastisement of our peace was upon Him
And with His stripes we are healed
He is despised and rejected of men
A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief
And we hid as it were our faces from Him
He was despised and we esteemed Him not
He was oppressed, He was afflicted
Yet He opened not his mouth
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter
As a sheep before her shearers is dumb
He was taken from prison and from judgment
And who shall declare His generation?
For He was cut off from the land of the living
For the transgression of my people was He stricken
He made his grave with the wicked
And with the rich in his death
Because He had done no violence
Neither was any deceit in His breath
Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him
He hath put Him to grief:
When Thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin
He shall see His seed
He is despised and rejected of men
A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief
And we hid as it were our faces from Him
He was despised and we esteemed Him not

Will You Be There?
05:19
|
|||
Will you be there
When we meet up in the air
Or will you be left behind
When Jesus returns
Will you be at His feast
Or will you stay
And worship the beast
Will you be there
Or will you burn?
I have friends that I love so well
They're walking time's tightrope without a care
Yet when they fall 'twill be eternal hell
O friend, will you be there?
There were two thieves
One cried in agony
"Save us and then
Bring Yourself down from there."
Then cried the other thief
"Lord, remember me."
Jesus said to him
"You will be there."
For two thousand years he's been in paradise
The passage of time he's unaware
He's just beginning eternity with Christ
O friend, will you be there?
Let me ask you friend
Are you really born again
Have you made a choice
Have you made a turn
Are you living for Him
Or is the fire growing dim
Will you hear His voice
When He returns?
