lyrics

O my soul, why are you cast down?
And why are you disquieted in me?
My soul thirsts for the living God
When will I appear before my King?
O my God, my soul is cast down
Deep calleth unto deep
Yet at the sound of Thy waterfalls
All Thy waves and billows are gone over me

Yet the Lord will command His lovingkindness
In the daytime and in the night
His song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.

I will say, unto God my rock, “Why have You forgotten me?
Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”
My tears have been my food day and night
As they say to me “Where is your king?”
Yet as the deer pants after water brooks
So pants my soul after Thee, after Thee

Let not your heart be troubled
My peace I give unto you
Not as the world gives, and though I’ve gone away
I’m coming back again for you

Lord, I will sing, You are my King
You are my everything
And I am Your son, Lord, lead me on
But don’t leave me down here too long
Yet when I’m weak You are strong
When I am weak You are strong in me.

O my soul, why are you cast down?
And why are you disquieted in me?
O my God, my soul is cast down
Deep calleth unto deep

Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness
In the daytime and in the night
His song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life
Unto the God of my life
Unto the God of my life.
