about

Written by Daisy Da Silva

This song is based on Matthew 5:13-16. We as children of God were called to be a light of this world. God wants His children to be the light and salt of this darken world and His desire is that we shine before all humanity. Once people see this light that shines upon us, I strongly believe that men and women will acknowledge, give God glory, and follow our examples as imitators of Jesus Christ.

lyrics

You called me to be the light
You called me to make a difference
I know wherever I go, You’ll be near

Here I am, I am Yours
Here I am, I Surrender

Here I stand, Oh Lord
Take control of me
Use me for Your goodness
May Your light shine before me
I want to be the light of this world
Shine before me Lord (Wooow)
Shine before me Lord

You called me to be the salt
You’ve given me the Spirit of courage
I know, I’m guided my You Lord
No need to be afraid (no no)

Here I am, I am Yours
Here I am, I Surrender

Here I stand, Oh Lord
Take control of me
Use me for Your goodness
May Your light shine before me
I want to be the light of this world
Shine before me Lord (Wooow)
Shine before me Lord

Be the light, be the light of this world
Be the light, be the light of this world
Be the light, be the light of this world

Here I stand, Oh Lord
Take control of me
Use me for Your goodness
May Your light shine before me
I want to be the light of this world
Shine before me Lord (Wooow)
