The smell of great sorrow hangs in the air
Unease about the future stalks us everywhere
Labour pains are more intense, there’s sign after sign
Of the Kingdom that is coming in the fullness of God’s time

History has no focus, it’s a wilderness for sure
Apart from Christ Jesus, it is sick beyond a cure
People scoff at His return, say that it’s a fallacy
But there’s no force under heaven that can cheat the prophecy

But they’re naked, blind, and poor
The Saviour’s on the outside knocking at the door
Because they are lukewarm, the Lord will spit them out

The great falling away has begun
Love for Jesus has grown cold
We knew these days were coming, all of it was foretold
False teachers broke in, they ingeniously deceived
But the faithful will be saved
By the Lamb in whom they have believed

Who knows the evil of indifference
Who has an ear to hear and then repents
When time comes to an end, they will be aware
Opportunity is gone, no second chance will be there

No one can claim that they never heard
